Repair Cafe at the Zero Waste Hub

🕐 Saturday, April 15, 2023

🏢 Zero Waste Hub, 22 Bread Street, EH3 9AF

The Repair Cafe Edinburgh pop-up returns this April for its first event in central Edinburgh, at the SHRUB Zero Waste Hub! This event is hosted by Repair Cafe Edinburgh, who will be on hand to help you with your repair questions and guide you with your fixes.

So if you want to repair your broken electrical, electronic and mechanical devices such as toys, small electricals, laptops, lamps…you can email Repair Cafe at to confirm suitability and to reserve your place.

Or just turn up on the day and they will take a look.

Please note: At busy times you might need to wait for a volunteer to become available. Priority will be given to local residents and those with reserved places. Last repairs will begin at 4:30pm to allow time for finishing up.

This event is free and runs from 2pm to 5pm. Tea, coffee and soft drinks will be available for purchase.

The Zero Waste Hub is on the ground floor with a small step at the entrance. A ramp is available upon request. All the public spaces throughout the building are step free and there are gender neutral and powerchair accessible toilets (no changing places toilet) with hand rails.

SHRUB is a sober space with quiet music and low lighting. Noisy sirens do go through the neighbourhood. We do not have a hearing loop installed.

Our venue is located near bus stops served by the following routes: 2, 35, 34, 16, 11, 24, 12, 10, 36, 47. There is limited on-street parking and paid parking on Castle Terrace (roughly 300 metres away by foot on partially cobbled path or 400+ via flatter paved paths).

If you have further questions regarding accessibility, please contact the Zero Waste Hub on 0131 281 0583 or at

SHRUB Coop is supported through a combination of grant funding and generous donations from our community. We’re grateful for all their support. Find out more about our grant funders by clicking on the logos above.
