Do I need to be a member to join?

No - anyone can join! For events with a ticket fee, we offer our members a discount.

Where are the events?

We host events at our dedicated SHRUB Space workshop at 17 Guthrie Street, EH1 1JG, as well as at the Zero Waste Hub at 22 Bread Street. Occasionally we also join other organisations and host events at their venues. Make sure to check each event for the location.

Is the workshop accessible?

The workshop space is on the ground floor and there is step free access throughout the building. The toilet is step free, but small and not wheelchair accessible.

All our toilets are gender neutral.

Is there nearby bicycle parking?

There is outdoor bicycle parking on Chambers street, near the National Museum and on Cowgate, at the bottom of Guthrie street.

What bus routes are you on?

The workshop is located between the National Museum of Scotland and Cowgate and following bus routes will take you nearby;

George IV Bridge routes: 67, 42, 41, 23, 27
Chamber Street routes: 35, 45
South Bridge routes: 37, 7, 31, 29, 3, 8, 33, 49, 5, 30, 14

Is there parking nearby?

The closest car park is a 7 minute walk away;

Can I host my own event at SHRUB’s venues?

Not currently. SHRUB spaces are generally compact and we haven’t run any in-person events since the COVID-19 restrictions were eased. We are working on how we can safely do so. So watch this space!
