Gender Affirming clothes swap with the Equality Network

🕐 Sunday, January 15, 2023

🏢 Zero Waste Hub, 22 Bread Street, EH3 9AF

Come down to SHRUB Coop on Sunday the 15th of January between 4.30 and 6.30pm to swap some things!

Did you get inappropriate clothes or other gendered gifts for Christmas? Or do you just have some pre-loved things to swap? This swap is for trans and non-binary people or anyone else and is free for whoever wants to participate.

You can arrive at any time, but we hope to get swapping started in the first 30 minutes. Please only bring clean/ usable items that you would be happy to give to a friend ❤

We plan to have the cafe open with a range of hot drinks and a few snacks for you to enjoy while you swap.

Equality Network staff will be at this event with information and hopefully some badges!

The Zero Waste Hub is on the ground floor with a small step at the entrance. A ramp is available upon request. All the public spaces throughout the building are step free and there are gender neutral and powerchair accessible toilets (no changing places toilet) with hand rails.

SHRUB is a sober space with quiet music and low lighting. Noisy sirens do go through the neighbourhood. We do not have a hearing loop installed.

Our venue is located near bus stops served by the following routes: 2, 35, 34, 16, 11, 24, 12, 10, 36, 47. There is limited on-street parking and paid parking on Castle Terrace (roughly 300 metres away by foot on partially cobbled path or 400+ via flatter paved paths).

If you have further questions regarding accessibility, please contact the Zero Waste Hub on 0131 281 0

SHRUB Coop is supported through a combination of grant funding and generous donations from our community. We’re grateful for all their support. Find out more about our grant funders by clicking on the logos above.
