What is the purpose of the meeting?

We will be holding an Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) to provide our members with a general update. Despite the misleading name, SHRUB regularly holds an EGM every year, in addition to our Annual General Meeting! The EGM is a chance to…

  1. Update members on our work and the current state of SHRUB, including an interim financial report. 

  2. For members to ask questions and bring ideas forward!

  3. This year, we additionally have new trustees that are seeking to join the board, and would like the membership to have a chance to confirm their appointment. We are still open to new nominations for trustees, so if you are interested in the position please do let us know (by sending an email to trustees@shrubcoop.org)! 


No further motions are planned for this EGM, therefore there will not be any proxy ballots as in the 2025 EGM.



Who can attend?

To attend the EGM you must be part of one of these categories:

  • SHRUB staff

  • SHRUB volunteers who have completed a shift in the last 4 months

  • Supporter members who have purchased a SHRUB membership (valid for up to a year)


For the purposes of the EGM, we will consider anyone who has purchased a membership or volunteered for a shift anytime before the official start of the EGM, so if you are interested in voting you can purchase a membership on our website, or if you are an inactive volunteer do sign up for a shift with your group in the next fortnight!



Where will the meeting take place?

The meeting will be hybrid;

  • In-person option at Paterson's Land, 11-37 Holyrood Road, EH8 8AQ (Room 1.19). We acknowledge that this location might not be accessible to everyone due to the lack of transport links. We are happy to take suggestions for alternative venues for future events.

  • Option to join online; we will share the joining link in the days before the EGM
